QSC`s Shares Invest in QSC -
A growth company

QSC provides Internet security by mouse click

Cologne, 9 July 2002. QSC AG, a Cologne-based provider of professional DSL services in Germany, is launching its new "Q-Security" product - an innovative security solution for professional Internet users in the 46 cities covered by QSC. Q-Security is an inexpensive, network-based managed firewall that can be used in combination with the Q-DSL office and Q-DSL business products.

The offer is primarily targeted at the self-employed and at small and medium-sized businesses. Recent studies* have shown that the number of Internet attacks is constantly on the rise and can pose a serious threat to any company. Data are stolen, forged or destroyed.

Q-Security protects customers not only during simple Internet use, but also in complex network applications. By using the convenient "myQSC" interface at their PCs, users can choose and activate the security profile that best suits their needs. A low activation charge of EUR 199 net and a monthly fixed price of EUR 99 mean that the investment is inexpensive and calculable. The QSC Network Operation Center monitors the security system around the clock, 365 days a year. A competent Service Hotline can also be reached at all times.

"With Q-Security, our customers have effective protection against Internet attacks - without any annoying, expensive hardware installations or complicated software management. This makes Q-Security an ideal solution for smaller companies", says Dietmar Gierden, Product Manager at QSC, listing the advantages.

QSC is running an introductory offer until 31 July 2002, in which all Q-DSL office and Q-DSL business customers who are interested can test Q-Security a month long free of charge. If they wish to continue using the service, the installation price is cancelled and they can subscribe for a monthly fee of EUR 99. "Our only condition:  that these customers tell us about their experience with Q-Security. Because we strive hard to continually improve and better serve our customers", explains Gierden.
